Rodger, Skipper, Tori, Andrew, Matt and Jessica set out for a fishing adventure. Gazing upon the sea they had high hopes for the best fishing EVER!!! Luckily they had Bob and Captain Mark as their trusted guides. With the rolling waves approaching the beach Bob and Mark got the dory boat in position. Stomachs in their throats the brave adventures set out for the high seas and high fishing. Through the breakers they squinted and hoped that Captain Mark knew what he was doing. Once passed the "vomit makers" the sea calmed down. Capt Mark gave the orders "let's fish". There was as much excitement in that boat as a kid on Christmas morning. But did any of the brave adventures know what they were doing?? No!!! But no fears Capt Mark was here. He baited the lines and taught those who had no fishing experience how to troll for fish (thank goodness because I was one of those no experience people). With shock and gasps from all on board, we started to catch rockfish. Some even caught three at a time (wink wink, that was me). With the fierce captain giving pointers and tricks of the trade the mighty fishermen we're on their game. Fish after awesome fish was brought into the boat!!! What an awesome start to the adventure. Made us all look like we knew what we were doing. Then the debate started..... to crab or not to crab???? Well, Democracy ruled and crabbing was voted in. Off we jetted to the pots that Mark had put out before. Andrew with his mighty muscles (first time was not graceful) pulled up pot after pot of crabs. All the fishermen were delighted with the crab catch, but that meant the next debate was starting. Which fish to catch next?? Cod, salmon or halibut?? Cod won that round. 5 out of the 6 mighty explorers got their rigs ready (well not really, Capt. Mark did all the work). Dropping our lines with 16oz weights (which FYI after a while feels like 160 lbs) the fishing game was on. Cod was caught.... The adventurers were well taught by their fierce leader and were ready for their catch. Meanwhile, I know you all were worried about Bob as he was not on the boat, he got a good nap in on the beach. Thanks to the ocean, that provides, a group of noble fishermen caught their limit for the day (in both fish and crabs). Well 5 out of the 6 anyway. One of the mighty explorers got sea sick but was a tough trooper. The wind was starting to howl and scowl and pretty much tell us our time was up, Capt Mark got the adventurers to reel in their lines. As with our departure we all had specific places to be. Holding on for the rush of the waves, everyone braved for what can only be called wtf is happening we're heading straight for the beach (aka bringing the boat in). Bob was standing mightily on the beach waving his arms to show where we need to go. Capt Mark brought the dory boat in like the 20 year veteran he is. We landed on the beach with Bob happily greeting us with a classic Bob smile.
