We meet our customers 3’ from the front of the Pelican Pub in Pacific City. You will be parking in the Tillamook County parking lot adjacent to the pub.
You need to come prepared for the elements. Dress warmly and in layers. Bring rain gear (even in the summer) as it can be chilly in the mornings, and you could get damp from water spray during the launch and while on the water from wind spray. Bring a snack and something to drink (no alcohol is allowed onboard) for the boat.
You will get fitted for life jackets, climb into the boat (while it’s on the trailer) and have a safety orientation. You will then be seated in the boat for the ride down to the shoreline.
The boat is backed into the water where it rolls off the trailer and is spun around to be bow facing to the ocean. The boat is walked/pushed through the surf until the water is deep enough to lower the motor and get under power.
You will be fishing within minutes of launching the boat!
Once fishing is completed, we will go to the crab pots and pull the pots up out of the water to the side of the boat. The crab are sorted by sex (cannot keep females) and size.
You will then head back to shore where the boat will gracefully slide over wet sand to a gentle (most times) stop.
You will disembark onshore and meet the boat at our shop (35385 6th St, Pacific City, 97135) where your bounty will be processed and packaged for you to take home and enjoy. We provide a bag of ice for your cooler and recipe sheets.
If you have more questions text or call Linda at 503-320-3476 or click on the contact us button at the bottom of this page to send an email.
