Pacific city fishing Chinook salmon and sea bass. Randy, David, Kirsti, and Kile decided to go fishing on our vacation! We woke up at 4:45 am to go deep sea fishing with Mr. Mark. We launched the boat at around 5:30 am and headed straight out. Everyone was feeling pretty good at this point due to the motion sickness medicine so we were very excited! We got all hooked up with each of our poles and were taught how to "jig" the pole so that we could attract fish. He was very helpful and soon we started catching a lot of Rock Fish and Sea bass! We went to lots of different places and were successful and each one! We were limited to 7 fish each and we could have been there a lot longer! At the end Kile, age 9, caught 2 big fish on one reel! After this it kind of went downhill... Kile started feeling sick and David did too and all at once, a vomiting frenzy ensued. We sympathecally maintained our distance. At this point, Kile bailed on the fishing and stoically focused on feeling miserable. Randy assisted on the crab pot retrieval and 22 crabs were the prize. When Kile begrudgingly but bravely agreed to continue, this gave Kirstin a chance to pull in the prize of the day, a fine King (chinook) salmon. Kile fell asleep and so did the fish. Kile was very happy to surf in on the waves and return to terra firma.
