This was certainly not just another charter. The Dory boat thing is a whole different experience. We all hopped in the boat and launched right off the beach. I kind of had to see it done to realize what an incredible experience. Captain crew, very personable and friendly, only six Fishers in total on the boat. Honestly goodness, we had 24 rockfish in 45 minutes. I’m not making this up the next step was catching our bait fish. We caught a bunch of little baits that we used. That only took about 30 minutes and we had a bucket full of bait. Was not expecting that. We had to work a little harder for the eight Ling cod and a Cabizon.. But it was no work at all to all limit on Crab. 72 for the six of us. pretty cool too, was coming back to the captains place where they chopped up all the fish and vacuum packed it. Oh, and set us away with all our Crab boiled. I can’t imagine doing a traditional charter for bottom fishing again. Dory boats are the way to go.
