Fisher Family Goes Dory Fishing! We have watched the Dory Boats launch and come to shore for years. We finally decided we should experience the exhilaration! We were advised by Mark to take a Dramamine the night before and the morning of the trip. We did have to wake before the crack of dawn, and that is a feat with two teenagers! The launch was spectacular! I thought we would get soaked in the large waves but we did not. Captain Mark and Dillon made sure we were safe and sound. Once out about 2 miles, Captain showed us how to get the line down, jig and reel in. Mind you, only Uncle Todd is an experienced fisher. The kids Immediately began getting fish on! It was awesome! Madison, age 19 even hooked on three fish at once! Madeline, age 17, first time fishing, hooked the most! Even had two on line once! I must say, I did get the biggest, a cod! It's not just a fish story! We caught our limit, in 2 hours , then went for crab. Madison got to help pull the crab pots in, measure, learn male vs female. Awesome! We ride the waves in, one long surf ride! Wow, the landing was exceptional! Back up to the Lytle's house to cook and clean the crab, watch Mark and Dillon filet and clean of fish. Linda vacuumed packed our fish, gave us some super recipes and listened you our fish stories. This was a great experience. We'll do it again! PS...the Dramamine tip was good. Michelle Fisher
