Great day on the water. Ensure to hydrate the day prior to combat sea sickness. Caught all the fish we could ever want. Lingcod/Flounder/Rockfish/even managed a Vermillion. Couldn’t be more excited to be taking home Dunge crabs as well. On a moderately calm, late August, morning the Surf was moderate and cool temps. We needed a little bit of warm weather and boots. Spray wasn’t bad or nearly as bad as I expected over the bow. Be prepared to use your sea legs for something like this. Mid morning after first light before the horizon is distinguished is the time to keep your head up. Mark and Buddy were on top of everything. Fresh bait, boat movement, spot selection, pot pulling, everything. Required attire was rain bib and jacket, boots and some warm socks, and maybe a wool cap for early morning. Oh! And DONT TOUCH YOUR EYES IF YOU JUST CLEANED JELLYFISH OFF YOUR BAIT.
