The morning started off before the sun came up. It was worth it immediately when we saw a wale before we cleared Haystack Rock. Before we had all the poles in the water the first rock fish was hooked. That was followed up by several more rock fish and then the bite was on. We were catching all sorts of species. Once limited out Mark asked, "Salmon or Ling Cod?" We all wanted cod so off we went, several Lings in the boat and Mark suggested we try for Salmon. Right off the bat a quadruple with Salmon. This continued on for several keepers and even more hatchery fish. Once we had our fill of Salmon, off to the crab pots, none of us could believe the size and number of crabs in each pot. What a great day.
