“It’s the Pacific Ocean”

Fearless leader Tim and his rag tag group of pirates started the morning off with Tim being “that guy” by showing up to fish in shorts and river shoes. He was quickly informed that he would not be warm enough and was reminded “It’s the Pacific Ocean” that we were fishing. After this great start, those that were unprepared were given spare gear and we headed off to retrieve crab pots and reset them. After having some success with the crabbing we start catching bass and rockfish. We were on fire for a while and then went to deeper waters to catch flounders as live bait for lingcod. Unfortunately for us, the lingcod ended up not wanting to go along with the program. But when all seemed lost at the very end of the trip, Wyatt was able to land a Cabezon to end it on a good note. We then got to experience landing the boat on the beach and met back at the shop later to filet everything and enjoy some beers and conversation. Main take away from the experience is to show up prepared and ready to have a good time. Everything was explained clearly to us (usually multiple times as we messed it up.) Overall, it was a great experience and would recommend to anyone.
