This morning I woke up early and went fishing. I had always dreamed of going on a Dory boat catching a ton of fish and my dream finally came true. When the boat launched, we immediately started finding a spot to catch Rockfish. When we turned the corner it was so cool to see Cape Kiwanda from a different angle. All of a sudden, rods were being passed out and we got the first bite. Fish after fish, we kept getting more and more and more. After we hit our limit, 25 minutes later, we moved on to the crab pots. Then, after that, we moved the boat to go catch some Salmon. The wind started to pick up and the fog started rolling in. I got the first fish but it was wild so we had to let it go. Then all of the Native Salmon started rolling after a few minutes of waiting. Suddenly my rod started bobbing, a lot. I picked up the rod and my fishing line released about 40 yards. I started reeling it in fast, while fighting through my tiredness. When it finally reached the boat, I realized it was a King Salmon. We took a lot of photos and caught a couple more fish and we headed back to shore. The ride back had a lot of waves but it was of fun. We rolled up on the shore and the fishing trip was over. I had such a wonderful time and would totally do it again!!
