Pacific city birthday fishing extravaganza

It was my wife's birthday and I thought what better than to charter a Dory boat. We went with mark Lytle because he was highly recommended by the locals. We showed up to the pelican brew pub at 5:30 and raced down the beach with our boat and launched while a full moon was still peaking from behind haystack rock. We began the day fishing for Bass and Mark put us on the fish from the beginning. We were at our limit with in an hour!! We caught black rock, blue rocks, yellow tails, and kelp sometimes two at a time. After we finished the bass fishing we traveled south to pick up our crab pots that Mark had set a few days earlier it was so much fun, you never know what you is coming up in the pot! After that we went trolling for salmon. We caught a silver that was an exciting catch but had to release it back to the ocean.We got two more bites but weren't able to get them on board. The trip was so much fun! The landing of the dory boat on the beach was a thrill ride to be remembered for years to come. We ended the day at Marks shop we he cleaned, filleted, and vacuum sealed the days catch! This was unexpected and very much appreciated because we are taking our fish home with us to hood river for an awesome dinner! Thanks for everything Mark! Sincerely, Nick and Nancy Hardin
