We really didn't think we were able to get out into the ocean this weekend. We happened to be down at the coast and found Mark online. He at first didn't think we had much of a chance and the night before the ocean was choppy.  I told Mark that if he could wake up in the morning drive out and look at the condition of the surf, we would be ready to hit the road and if it didn't work we would just go back to bed.  Got the text at 5:15 that all hands on deck. Brewed coffee and we were on our way.  We limited with sea bass in 30 minutes but the lings were stubborn and full of bait fish. Took a better part of an hour to limit with lings. Went out yo haystack to observe the wildlife including a whale and kelp bed. Back on shore by 9:30 and cleaning fish. It was a great experience and will go out with Mark again!!
