pacificcityfishing.com dory fishing It seemed like a quiet morning launching at 5a -- low swell, not much wind-- until we took a big wave in the face getting past the beach break. Then we were all awake! I know the trip wasn't about sight-seeing but it was beautiful to watch the sun rise over the coast range and Cape Kiwanda. Then we caught rock fish-- sometimes 2 or 3 on the line! We brought in a couple salmon but let them continue to be wild. Capt Mark was great at offering instruction, helpful corrections and keeping us all warm and safe. Not to mention finding the fish and successfully landing us back on the beach at top speed! As we walked back to the car after our morning of fishing, my brother said "That exceeded my expectations-- Both in number of fish caught and in adrenaline level at some moments!"
