I knew I wanted to get Austin a birthday present he'd never forget. We both value experiences over material items, so I started thinking about some of the more unique experiences in Oregon. Austin's always loved Pacific City - he frequently tells me its one of his favorite places in the world. He also LOVES eating fish, I'm still warming up to it myself, but he wishes I wanted to eat it all the time. I thought, "what could be better than Dory Boat Fishing around Haystack Rock together, and then getting to cook & enjoy the fish?". Nothing. Absolutely nothing would be better. The whole trip was way more amazing than I could have ever imagined. We started the journey in the dark and watched the sun rise over PC as we fished out on the calm Pacific Ocean. We caught a variety of fish and enjoyed the best views in the world. Mark was an amazing guide and he made sure we were always informed what we were doing & felt comfortable on the boat. He teaches while guiding and his added humor just tops the whole thing off. One of the best parts was the boat landing, Austin knew how dory boats came back to shore, I didn't. It was so much fun blasting from the ocean to the sand and coming to a haul when the boat hit ground! This was the most unforgettable experience and we can't wait to join Mark on another trip!!
