Winter Dory fishing with Captain Mark

My father, brother and I went on an unforgettable fishing adventure with Captain Mark. We’d never been fishing before, and this was quite an adventure. Ride out from the beach, passing through the swell as day was breaking. Watching the big set coming in and having Mark gun the engine to make it past the biggest wave of the set got us straight in the mood. Then within minutes we were setting down crab traps and putting down our lines. We got rockfish, and then moved on to lingcod. So much reeling in our arms were sore. We maxed out our quota, had a grey whale pass right by us and finally headed back to get our crabs and gunned it to the shore, where the arrival is a super thrilling slide onto the sandy shore.

Amazing experience, perfect weather- sunny, no wind. We knew very little about fishing and Mark took us from one school of fish to the next, had us test out different techniques and baits and get tons of fish.
