August 8th - we set off on a cool calm morning, moon shining, a thin layer of fog covering the ocean, and my buddy Hugh was asleep. But soon he awoke from a ruckus on the boat, a hot streak was in place and the team was hunkered down in a honey hole positioned by our fearless leaders Mark and Rod. Fish ensued, limit'd on Seabass (Black rf) with our buddy Seabass aka Evan hauling in the most. Following that, a quick jet out to the crab pots to pull crab, and boy did it not disappoint, fresh crab as far as the eye could see, seagulls tried to get in on the action. After that the real fishing began. The team took off with the vision of salmon and our eyes on the prize. Poles down and in a short while the boat shook with the thrill of fish on, tips up always, and we had our first salmon of the day. With the calm cool and collected guidance of Mark, we landed 5 salmon total. 4 natives and 1 hatchery. Action packed. Full steam ahead and the dory was beached. As I write this, I sit here in the 'fish hut' (amazing garage) with fish being cleaned, crab pot boiling, I reflect on what a killer day. Perfect weather and great fishing. Cheers
