Took off at 5am to an almost full moon still out. The wind was blowing and the seas were a little rough. Once we got out to the rockfish area we set our lines down and started pulling up the sea bass. We had to keep moving the boat to stay on the fish. The wind and the seas were pushing us around. The bite turned on us so we went further out for Salmon. We took a beating from the seas, but once we hit the salmon grounds we started pulling them in left and right. Didn’t even have all lines in before the first one hit. We limited out quickly and proceeded back in for crab and let me tell you it was a wet ride in. Getting to the crab pots was a relief and we limited out on them also. All in all it was a successful trip and I would definitely advise rain gear for all (you will get wet). Oh yeah, don’t forget your licenses and salmon tags.
