As our journey began in the cold dark hours of the early morning we looked to the horizon with excitement in our hearts and fish on our minds. Mark, our wonderful guide and great friend took us through the crashing surf with grace and ease as we began our journey. Before the sun came up, Mark positioned us in a spot that immediately yielded sea bass galore. Every time we put a line out we hollered "fish on." As the sun rose into the clouds we continued our bountiful harvest. Chumming the water is considered cheating in many circles, but Erin had no problem 'sharing' her breakfast over the side of the boat. Before long we reached our limit and cruised on over to the crab pots where we drug up 70 crab to chew on for the next few days. On the dory boat between reeling in fish after fish, we shared laughs and stories. We were lucky enough to see a dozen or so sun fish basking in the morning sun once the clouds parted. Another great trip spent aboard Mark's boat, and we are already dreaming of the next chance we get to go out. As always Mark let my mom wear a birthday hat and gave her a pole to use with no gear attached as to not hurt herself. She has a tendency to hook into things she's not supposed to. We're sitting on the furniture in Mark's shop while he and the boys are cleaning the catch. Linda's in charge of vacuum sealing and is getting us all set for a freezer full of fish. FUN time, ALWAYS!!!!!
