First time on a Dory boat for me. As an avid fisherman was more interested in the boat launch off the beach then fishing. That changed as soon as we started fishing. Action was fast and furious with a limit of bottom fish in less than an hour. Then the decision, Coho or Ling Cod? We went after Ling Cod and that turned out to be the right decision. Action was steady and we also limited on Ling. Have not bottom fished since I was a kid but really enjoyed cast and retrieve method Mark uses. Light tackle, good gear and a skillful Captain leads to a success day.
