The day started out promising, although there was a bit of a swell to contend with. Captain Mark and deckhand Marcus expertly maneuvered the boat into position, just in time for a big shore break to pound over the front of the boat and get us all wet! Luckily we all had our rain gear on, it was great for a laugh! Sopping wet and smiling, we busted through the rest of the surf and were on our way to the crab pots. After putting some crab in the boat, we headed out to catch some rockfish. It was a good day, they were biting and we reached our limit quickly. Then we headed out to try for some Lingcod, and even managed to hook into two halibut, what a lucky day! Although we’ve been on the ocean many times, Dory fishing was a brand new experience for us and certainly one we will never forget. Big thanks to Captain Mark, Marcus, and Linda for helping us experience a truly unique and fun type of fishing!
