Today we went out at 5am and started with checking crab traps and ended up with 30+ crabs then we transitioned to rockfish. We were using paddle tails on jig heads which was the hot bait of the day. Within the hour we had our limit. We all knew we were going to catch fish, but maybe not to the extent of how well we actually did. To close out the day, we trolled for salmon and didn’t quite capitalize on all of the salmon bites, however we did get one in the boat. Overall it was an amazing day of fishing on the Pacific and was a great experience!
Wednesday, hump day. Todays Wednesday was much more than that. Space ride through the surf while watching the ocean water change color. And splashing through the waves to get to todays fishing grounds. Was it worth getting up at 04:00? Yes, already the early rising was worth it. Then catching black rock fish two and three at a time. Amazing time. The weather cleared throughout the day making for an awesome day of fishing with Pacific City Fishing!
