Can’t see myself waking up that early for anything less, awesome experience. Our launch was so smooth I hardly even noticed the missing rain gear I was supposed to bring. As soon as we got into deeper water we dropped the crab pots and it was time to start chasing rockfish. We limited out within minutes often landing two or three fish per rod, never have I put so little thought or effort into fishing and been rewarded so heavily for it. We spent the next few hours sending chunks of sardine to the bottom enticing big lingcod and cabezon to strike. We would eventually return to our crab pots and would be collectively shocked by the impressive haul, we landed back at her beach safely and finished off the day back at Mikes shop where our fish was cleaned and a delicious meal of steamed crab was prepared, a perfect end to an outstanding day of fishing.
